Choir

The Henry Park Primary School Choir is a vibrant musical community where young voices come together to sing, serve and shine as one. Through the shared experience of choral singing, our choir members develop vocal and musicianship skills while growing in confidence, discipline, resilience and teamwork. Beyond striving for musical excellence, our Choir seeks to nurture pupils who experience the joy of making music together and discover how their voices can bring joy and connection to others.

Choir members engage in a rich range of learning experiences, from regular rehearsals and ensemble training to school and community performances. These authentic platforms encourage pupils to listen closely, collaborate with one another, take collective responsibility and develop confidence as performers.

A meaningful highlight is the Choir's Values-in-Action (VIA) engagement with Lentor Nursing Home, where pupils share choral performances with residents and lead them in a joint percussion musicking activity. Through making music with, rather than simply performing for, the residents, pupils experience how music can bridge generations, foster connection and contribute meaningfully to the community.

The Choir also extends its music beyond the school by contributing to community celebrations such as the Ulu Pandan National Day Dinner, giving pupils the opportunity to share their love for singing while celebrating Singapore together with the wider community.

In 2026, the Choir was awarded the Certificate of Accomplishment at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation. More than an achievement, the experience represents the pupils' collective journey of perseverance, commitment and growth as an ensemble.

Through every rehearsal, performance and act of service, the Henry Park Primary School Choir aspires to nurture not only confident young musicians, but gracious team players who understand that when voices come together with purpose, music can inspire, connect and make a difference.
