Welcome to the Henry Park Primary School Chess Club!
Our club comprises two teams to cater to different levels of interest and experience:
Recreational Team
A fun, relaxed environment where players learn the basics, enjoy friendly games, and build their confidence at a comfortable pace.
School Training Team
For more experienced players who are ready to deepen their competitive skills. This team moves at a faster pace and requires greater dedication to training.
In both teams, our coaches and CCA teachers guide members through structured lessons that develop critical thinking, calculation, visualisation, and the ability to analyse variations. Our coaches present real-game scenarios for members to solve, helping them apply strategies in practice. Each session also includes opportunities to play against different members, so everyone learns to adapt and think on their feet.
