Discover how Brownies helps girls build courage, confidence, and character through camps, badges, and life skills activities rooted in the Girl Guides Movement.
Brownies is a structured development programme designed for girls aged 7 to 12. As part of a rich guiding heritage established in Singapore since 1917, our mission is to nurture girls of courage, confidence, and character who actively contribute to making the world a better place.
Underpinned by our motto, "Lend a Hand", and guided by the Brownie Promise and Law, our members learn to think of others, cultivate critical life skills, and grow into responsible global citizens. We offer a supportive, structured environment where every girl can discover her potential, build lasting friendships, and learn to lead through service.
Our Core Curriculum: The 5-Point Programme
Our weekly sessions are guided by a comprehensive 5-Point Programme developed by Girl Guides Singapore. This holistic framework supports development in five key areas:
Personal & Social Development: Promoting physical health, courtesy, and self-esteem.
Home: Building independence through basic home safety and domestic duties.
Community: Fostering civic-mindedness and active helper roles in the local community.
Outdoor: Encouraging a love for nature and environmental conservation.
International: Expanding global perspectives and connecting with the international guiding sisterhood.
Through this framework, Brownies earn interest badges that recognize their individual accomplishments and skill development.
Key Student Experiences
Students in our Brownie Pack can look forward to a rich variety of collaborative, hands-on learning experiences:
Teamwork & Leadership: Girls work in small teams called "Sixes," where they learn early leadership, problem-solving, and peer collaboration.
Pack Holiday Camp: A signature experiential learning highlight of the year, where our girls participate in activities and embark on joint learning adventures with Brownies from other schools, forging lasting friendships.
Varied Interest Activities: Our programme regularly exposes girls to a wide range of activities to help them discover diverse passions and skills. The girls had the unique opportunity to experience roller blading as a physical recreation highlight. Other interest activities they might explore include outdoor cooking, entrepreneurship projects, learning journeys, and creative crafts.
Values-in-Action & Service Learning
True to our promise of helping others, our Brownies regularly engage in service learning to develop empathy and social responsibility:
Community Care: Spreading cheer and warmth by handcrafting and decorating personalized birthday cards for the residents of St. Luke's Hospital.
Environmental Stewardship: Participating in plogging sessions (picking up litter while jogging/walking) to keep our local neighbourhood clean and green, cultivating a strong sense of civic duty and care for the environment.

'Girls 4 Green Energy' Workshop - An innovative program using Minecraft Education to explore sustainable energy and ecological solutions.
